More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have raised two children in my own who now live on their own and have jobs and are respectful adults in the community.
I also take care of my 2 yr old granddaughter about 3 days a week when her mommy needs a break eak or mommy and daddy need a date night.
I feel this next one is almost the same...but I am a dog nanny on some occasions for my friend when she travels out of town.

My experience with special needs children...

It's been about 17 years but I took care of Monty..a 12 year old boy who had seizures and was mentally challenged with a 3 year old thinking ability....
Time with Monty was sometimes very challenging but he had so many more great days than bad ❤️ unfortunately Monty passed away from complications from a seizure that his tiny body couldn't recover from...I only got to have him in my life for a short 3 years but I wouldn't trade my time with him for anything 😔 caring for Monty included but was not limited to :
Meals
Baths
Learning/school
Administering medications
Muscle exercise (he was in a wheelchair but not paralyzed)
And whether I was on the clock caring for him or just a quick stop by visit before he went to sleep on those nights I would read him a book and make sure that he knew that he was wonderful everyday

The most important part about being a nanny...

Identical Twin girls who I was caring for were 1 months old and I fed one baby twice and couldn't figure out why the hungry one kept crying...until I noticed my message stake and started putting a dot on the foot of one so it wouldn't happen again .
