I was assistant director for Deirdre daycare center for 24 years. I have done transportation to and from schools, and before and after school care. I planned all summer camp activities for the daycare center for 24 years. I have also been working for Footsteps to Success childcare center in Odenton MD as a teacher's aid for 3 year olds, and I have worked with the infants and the toddlers as well. I am also a Mother of a wonderful son who is now 28 years old. He is the joy of my life and apple of my eye.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love working with kids on a wide range of activities. My favorite actives with kids are, swimming at the pools or beach, go cart racing, painting, coloring, dodge ball,arts and crafts, moon bounce ,blowing bubbles, taking nature walks, making cupcakes, eating ice cream, swinging on the swings and reading children stories!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about my job as a nanny and care giver, is to make sure your children are completely 100 percent safe at all times. They will all be cared for and will have lots of fun and will learn a lot. I will help them to be very well rounded in art, and music and reading. I am a loving, supportive caring fun lady. My goal is to keep your children safe and help them in any way I can, making sure they are comfortable and cared for.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with special needs children also.I recently for the past couple months worked with a three year old artistic boy. He is a darling, I help with him by doing puzzles with him, going over sight words, and his favorite activity, building blocks. My goal is to make sure he feels loved, safe and help him to be comfortable with his peer group, peacefully interacting with other children his age.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment with children is when we go to the beach or pool. We play Marco polo, make sand castles I cook on the grill hot dog and hamburger, we ate ice cream. We played Frisbee, valley ball and drew our names in the sand. good times!!
