More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My relevant experience is rooted in a lifelong calling. While every little boy and girl has big dreams, mine was always to be—and today continues to be—a mommy. Now, as my youngest turns 22 and my own four children are grown—in graduate school, a maritime academy, a medical career, and pursuing independence—my nest is empty. I am excited to begin this new chapter and partner with a working family as a nanny or "Nana" to love on your most treasured gifts. My childcare journey began at thirteen as a babysitter. As a stay-at-home mother, I remained deeply involved by volunteering in my children's classrooms, assisting teachers, and supporting students. Over the decades, I have happily looked after many children of all ages. Today, I continue to provide regular, loving care for my nieces' and nephews' sweet little ones during family visits, keeping my infant care skills active and sharp. I bring a seasoned patience into your home to ensure your children feel completely safe and loved.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Reading, playing games, puzzles, playing dolls, playing with shapes, building blocks, molding clay, and trains. I absolutely love coloring alongside children and getting creative with them. For outdoor fun, I enjoy taking children to the park, going on walks with them, exploring children’s & science museums and zoos. As a huge baker myself, I love introducing age-appropriate baking, sensory play, and simple arts and crafts to keep little hands happily busy—in fact, one of my own grown sons learned right alongside me all those years and is quite a chef and baker today! I am deeply interested in anything educational that engages children and sparks their curiosity. Because two of my children were heavily involved in singing and musical theatre, I’m a big fan of creativity—everything from dressing up and putting on plays to impromptu concerts and make-believe. My other two children loved sports, so while I am no athlete, I’m always happy to kick a ball around or play catch in the yard!
The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, caring for someone’s most treasured gifts is a profound privilege rooted in love, compassion, trust, and mutual respect. I treat the safety and well-being of your children as my absolute highest priority every single day, caring for them with the exact same devotion, warmth, and protective maternal instinct that I continue to give to my own four children—because they will always be my babies. Being a nanny is far more than a job to me; it is a commitment to providing a secure, nurturing environment where children feel completely safe, loved, and seen. I see myself as a true partner to working parents, dedicated to seamlessly supporting your family's routines while bringing a seasoned patience and joyful energy into your home to help your little ones thrive.

Babysitter Available in Knoxville, TN: Jennifer P.
I started caring for children infant to teen while working 3 years at an orphanage in Guatemala. I woke up with and took care of them until bedtime! When I returned, I worked at a child care center in the toddler room but, rotated into other classes. After 2. 5 years, I followed another passion and worked 3 years as a child photographer. I've now worked over 8 years as a nanny. My mission is to make sure children feel SAFE, at peace, and happy! I believe kids sense if you truly care. I am compassionate, affectionate, and understand kids get bored! I find creative ways to keep them busy - without technology. I think it's deeply important to point out their strengths and encourage them where they excel.
I believe children should spend a lot of time outside! I validate the gifts they naturally have. I am very committed, honest, hard working, kind, gentle, and mostly LOVING. If I sound like a good match for your littles, I'd love to hear from you! Thank you in advance!
