Getting to know your family & their needs. Being aware of your surroundings & the things going on around you at all times. It's important to pay attention at all times. And, I think one of the most important things is to bond with children & build trust.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think it's when children are on their best behavior the entire day for the nanny and when the parents (Usually Mom) walks in the door from working all day and the children immediately starts misbehaving. I think that's one of my most frequent memories of many children I've cared for.
