More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
For as long as I can remember, I have been caring for someone’s children. Whether it be my own siblings when we were all younger, working as a camp leader as a preteen, watching family friends little ones as a teenager, to working as a professional caregiver. At this point, I feel as if I have done it all! I am new to this website, but have held a profile on another site for quite some time and have reviews from at least a handful of families I have worked for over the years there.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
All activities really depend on the age of the kiddo! But I truly enjoy the exploration of learning in the early toddler years. I’m really big on outside time and exploring, but also find time for crafts and reading in my daily schedule. As far as playtime goes, Play kitchens have my heart and I’m a big fan on watching fashion shows. I can build almost anything out of Legos, and enjoy doing science experiments with the kids.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Wearing all the hats. They always say that moms have all the jobs and wear all the hats, the chef hat, the nurses hat, etc. I feel it’s most important to be present for the kids in every way so that they feel supported and are able to grow to the best of their abilities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Oh I’m moment I’ll never forget: explaining to the kids I was nannying that you used to have to carry around an entire separate device just to listen to music because your phone didn’t have the ability to play it. They were mind blown.
Other than that one activity I have done with several of the kids I’ve watched over the years is taking them to farmers markets, zoos, museums, and aquariums for “field trips”. We’ve made some great memories learning and having fun over the years!
