Retired single grandma. Looking to babysit with a variety of options available. Part time, 40 plus hours, day, evening or possibly 3rd shift, just for dinner or shopping. I can prepare food & snacks at a little higher price. Or you provide all food, snacks & drinks. I’m will to work with you in my home or years.
Lots of options reasonable prices. I also have an SUV with full coverage to drive them if needed.
I walk several times through out the day in the apartment complex, to the pier & feed the duck & geese some. Would be happy to work with any homework or help teach toddlers & more. I have a 3 year old granddaughter, so I have some toys, educational toys & actives. If you have a boy some of the educational toys are in exchangeable. I wouldn’t mind picking up a few items or you can bring some of your own.Even willing to help out around your place with laundry & other household needs. Willing to work with almost any situation

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have a 15 year younger brother and 12 year younger sister that my parents adopted when I was 15. I am 48; started babysitting at 12 for all ages & situations. I even moved in and took care of my grandma from [phone number hidden] to honor her request to pass in her home.
I have had a variety of careers. As a young child I babysat, mowed, cleaned house & business. I also worked at Chuck E. Cheese my senior year in high school. I worked for JCI making car seats for 9 years. National city mortgage in several positions:insurance, customer service & ended as Team Lead for 10 years. I shortly worked for a health insurance company. I went back to school an attended Kaplan and completed a medical certification program in 2011 with a 3.98. I have also took Micro office certification, Accounting with a 4.0. I followed up with a degree in Front office management. However caring for grandma, working for a Family physician; I had to drop out.
Always willing to adjust for any situation as needed.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going to the park, taking walks, pool, reading, help teaching new educational & personal achievements.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe nanny’s are very important in every age group. Depending on the age it’s a stable person helping sooth, education & nauseous you. A nanny is kinda like an extended family. Helping coaching, listening to issues, helping teach cooking, cleaning, abc’s, numbers and must more. It really depends on the age group, family’s situation & finding a way to improve & touch the child’s life in a positive way.

My experience with special needs children...

I really can’t said that I have any experience with a lot of special needs. When I was 12; I babysat a 1 to 9 month old that had brain surgery. He’s entire head was closed by samples. I was able to watch, change & feed him without problems.
My adopted little brother was a crack baby. He didn’t really have any physical issues, but a lot of attention & learned issues. I would sit for hours helping him with his homework. He was very smart, but getting him to actually write down the answers would sometimes take hours. I checked his folders every night to help remember what he had to do. Before bed I made sure all his stuff was organized in his book bag and by the door for easy access in the morning. Somehow he would still end up loosing it before class or forget to turn in. He was get up on an IEP and do to his situation was allowed extra time to graduate. I believe he finally accomplished everything and graduated at 20 years old.
