I currently volunteer at Victory Church in Decatur. I volunteer in the 1st-3rd grade room. I am also a babysitter, where I watch a 2 year old, 4 year old, 8 year old, and 12 year old.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love taking kids to the park, or if they have a dog, taking them on a walk. I love doing arts and crafts. On special rainy days, I love playing in the rain.
The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters most is that the kids are not only looked after, but that we create a bond. Kids will remember you as family. Also, that the parents are happy. If the parents are happy, you can create a bond with them. With that being said, the house will be clean every time they walk into the door, and if needed, food on the table.
My experience with special needs children...
At my church, we have multiple autistic kids. My family has autistic kids as well. We also have down syndrome kids at my church.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite memory is making my kids laugh. I never forget a kids laugh. getting kids to laugh, makes a smile on my face.
