Hi! My name is Kinsley Washington, and I am a 19-year-old student at the University of Chicago. I am currently balancing a business strategy internship during the week and am looking for part-time babysitting opportunities on Thursdays through Sundays. I am also available most evenings after 6:30 PM.

I have experience working at a daycare with children ages 3–11, where I supervised activities, helped with homework, prepared meals and snacks, organized games, and assisted with nap time. I have also babysat children ages 6 and 9, helping with transportation to activities, making dinner, and bedtime routines.

I am originally from Manhattan, New York. I consider myself to be responsible, patient, dependable, and energetic. I enjoy working with kids and creating a safe, fun, and positive environment while giving parents peace of mind. I have several years of experience caring for children in both group and one-on-one settings. During high school, I worked at an after-school daycare program at Gramercy Church in Manhattan, where I supervised children ages 3–11, helped with homework, organized activities and games, served snacks and meals, and assisted with nap time. I also babysat two girls, ages 6 and 9, for a year and half during my junior to senior year of high school. My responsibilities included preparing meals, helping with daily routines, providing transportation to activities, and creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment.

Activities I enjoy doing with children include spending time outdoors, visiting parks, going to museums, zoos, and aquariums, and staying active through sports and other outdoor activities. I also enjoy playing board games and interactive games that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and imagination. Depending on the child's age, I love engaging in imaginative play, building with toys, creating stories, and finding fun ways to keep kids entertained while helping them learn and explore their interests.

The most important part of being a nanny for me is building a genuine connection with the children while ensuring they are safe and well cared for. I want kids to have fun, be active, use their imagination, and feel comfortable around me. I also believe strong communication and trust with parents are essential so everyone feels confident and supported.
