More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience caring for children of different ages, both within my family and through raising my own son. I have regularly cared for my brother’s twins since they were young, and now at 13 years old, they still love coming to stay with me. Caring for them has taught me patience, responsibility, attentiveness, and how to keep children engaged and comfortable. I am also a new mother to my son, Legend, and have been caring for him since his birth. Being his mom has given me hands-on, everyday experience with infant care, including feeding, bottles, diapering, soothing, naps, routines, and paying close attention to his needs. I also have a large family with lots of children, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I love playing games, being silly, laughing, and making children feel comfortable around me. I’ve always been a big kid at heart, which I think helps me connect with children naturally while still understanding the importance of being responsible and attentive.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing anything that lets children be creative, have fun, and be themselves! I enjoy painting, coloring, arts and crafts, playing games, watching cartoons, reading, and creating fun activities together. I have my own collection of art supplies, including paints, canvases, brushes, aprons, crayons, colored pencils, markers, construction paper, glue, and more! I’ve loved art for years and enjoy sharing that creativity with children. When I worked at a bank, I would draw and color characters from cartoons and movies. If a child could guess the character, I would let them keep the picture and take it home. They absolutely loved it! I’m always happy to get down on the floor, play, be silly, laugh, and join in on the fun. I believe children should have opportunities to explore their imagination and creativity while feeling safe, encouraged, and cared for.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is the smiles. At the end of the day, I want a child to be able to say, “I had so much fun today!” Knowing that I helped make their day happy, safe, and memorable would mean so much to me. I also believe it is incredibly important for parents to feel at peace while they are away from their children. They should never have to question whether their child is safe, loved, listened to, or being cared for. I want parents to be able to focus on their day knowing their little one is in caring hands and that I will treat their child with the same patience, kindness, and attention I would want for my own. Being away from your child can be difficult, and I understand that feeling deeply as a mother. My goal would be to make that separation a little easier by giving both the child and their parents reassurance, love, and trust—so that when the day is over, they can come back together with happy memories waiting for them. ❤️
My experience with special needs children...
I do not currently have professional experience caring for children with special needs or managing specialized medical needs. Because I want to provide the safest and highest quality care possible, I am looking for positions that do not require responsibilities such as administering medication or providing specialized medical care beyond my current knowledge and experience. I am always honest about my abilities and would never take on responsibilities I am not properly prepared or trained to handle.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Some of my favorite moments come from the simple things—laughing, playing, singing, and seeing a child completely comfortable being themselves around me. With my son, Legend, I love when he smiles and laughs while grabbing my cheeks with his little hands. Those moments remind me how special it is to be someone a child feels safe and happy with. I’ve also had so many memorable moments with my nieces. When we’re in the car, we sing together, joke around, and laugh the entire time. We have such a natural bond that sometimes we talk and laugh like we’re the same age! My family once recorded us just sitting together, talking and laughing, because they thought our connection was so sweet. Those are the moments I treasure most—the ones where children feel comfortable enough to be silly, laugh freely, and simply enjoy being around me.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Mc Donough, GA: Kat H.
My name is Kat and a little bit about me…
I started out babysitting at the age of 10, when my younger sister was born. 2 years later my little brother came along. So from helping care for them I was able to get firsthand knowledge on how to be the best sitter/nanny. As we got older they had friends whose parents needed a sitter & I started working with families on a regular basis watching kids aged 7-12. Around 19 I realized although I enjoy all ages, I love babies. So I decided to shift from being a sitter to an actual nanny, having a more long-term position with families. I focused more on assisting families with newborns/infants & got to work with amazing families over the years.
Parents look for trustworthy, dependable & reliable people to look after their children. They want someone who’s gentle & nurturing while also being fun & friendly & someone who’s helpful, organized & patient. Over the years I have been able to develop all of these qualities and more!
