A little bit about me

Hello my name is Kloie and I love working with children! I have been nannying and babysitting for almost 10 years now, I taught English to children in Russia, worked at a special needs orphanage in Romania, and currently I teach private swim lessons to babies and toddlers. I’m CPR and Firstaid Certified and I’m a Certified Medical Assistant (I did my clinical at a pediatrics office). Essentially what I’m saying is I have a wide variety of experience working with children, can keep them safe, and know how to effectively respond in stressful situations. I love love love the outdoors so screen time (if any) is very limited. I believe that children are capable of so much and eager to learn, you just have to be willing and patient to teach them. I focus on a lot of cognitive development and helping the children really learn how to live in the world around them rather than just on a screen. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing outside with them. Doing things like chalk drawing, splash pads, going on walks or to the park, etc. Indoors I love to help them learn how to bake, color, read books, and more.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I nannied a 1 year old boy for a long time and he and I became best friends. Just watching him figure out how to function in life was the cutest and funniest thing. He was like a little shadow so if I was cleaning with a chemical wipe, I would give him a baby wipe so he would think he was helping. While doing laundry he would try to help and end up with clothing on his head and toppling over, or trying to put the dry clothes back in the wash. We would go to the splash pad and at first he was TERRIFIED of water and run into my arms so we had to splash around together, but eventually he loved it and would laugh, splash, and run around. Kids are just so adorable.
