"Kody worked for us for just over a year. My son would always tell me how much fun Kody and him would have during the day while I was working. Kody took tremendous care of my child and came up with numerous ideas for activities to do. Kody really enjoyed doing arts and crafts with my son. He would also help with schooling since Kody was an education major. Kody would even meal prep for my son and perform some household cleaning. Kody was an amazing person to be around and have in the house and has since grown to be like family to us. When a child feels understood and comfortable, it not only helps them feel more confident in themselves but also improves their relationships with others.
My experience with special needs children...
While working at summer camps and as an instructor I’ve had the experience of working with special needs students, and in my family as well. I have had great opportunities in the past to work with these kids and be able to learn from them and their past experiences. Working with special needs children has been able to help me grow as a person and has given me a better understanding of how to handle certain situations that may arise and has given me a better understanding of “patience is virtue.” My most recent experience is working as a behavior technician for kids with autism.

When babysitting my previous employers son, I was trusted with taking care of 5 children they were all school friends who wanted to have a playdate, after a day of playing sports, going to the museum and more the energy was still pushing forward, so we all decided to swim and make s’mores. There was so much laughter due to the excitement of the melting marshmallow and chocolate getting on their faces, as they ate they insisted that we take pictures so their family could put it in their scrapbook. The laughter and excitement from that day has been unforgettable.
