A little bit about me

Hello, I am a young student currently working on getting into a nursing program. I am first aid and CPR certified and I am almost done with my EMT class. Currently, all of my classes are online so I don't have any scheduling restrictions.

I love kids but I don't have any of my own, yet. My mom is a teacher and I have helped out in her classroom, growing up. I used to baby sit my neighbor's six month old, but I have experience with older kids, as well.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have volunteered to work in my mother's classroom, and I also helped her out when she worked in an after-school program. I volunteer to work with children when I can. The most recent was when I took a child Christmas shopping with Central Valley Professional Exchange. I wasn't supposed to spend any of my own money, but I couldn't bear to make him put anything back.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like playing board games and fun outdoor games like tag or hide and seek. I consider myself fit but gosh I can hardly keep up with these kids lately.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important thing about being a nanny is to be a good role model and a friend to the kids. Fortunately for a nanny, we don't usually have to be the "bad guy" like moms often have to. We can come in and be their friend and be a cool older sister (or brother) figure. Since we are somone kids often look up to, I think we have a responsibility to be a positive influence in their lives.
