The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny in my opinion is to be and provide the safety, care, support and wellbeing of every child that they would get from their parent, as parents are hard at work either in another room or out of the house. It’s important that the parents feel their babies are safe and loved with you! As I would want to know if my own children were being watched by someone who wasn’t me.
My experience with special needs children...
My 8 year old daughter is on the Autistic spectrum(level 3). She had been nonverbal up until 2020 where she finally started to put some words together indicating what she would like to do or eat! She absolutely loves people and loves to do her own thing around people as her form of bonding! She’s taught me so much and having the privilege of being her mother has given me insight and knowledge I might have never acquired otherwise. I’m so proud of her!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The sweetest moment I think was when a little boy I used to watch, needed to FaceTime me via his mommy so that I could help comfort him about being a little frustrated that he had gotten in trouble haha! So precious!
One of the funniest memories I think was when a little girl I had watched for about a year told me, with the most serious face, that I made the best macaroni and she just NEEDED to let me know 😂
Another funny moment was with the same little boy as previously mentioned, was handing out stickers to his brother, then to my two littles, then looked at me and goes “adults don’t get stickers, looooser” 😭😂
