More About Me

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love outdoor active play and walks, building with lego, magnatiles and more and science & sensory play. Most importantly play should be child-led and adults should provide appropriate scaffolding and supervision but little interference to concentration and exploration.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children who are differently-abled, neurodiverse, and infants with feeding difficulties. Including:
autism spectrum disorders
physical disabilities
tethered oral tissues, SNS feeding, reflux, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My most recent favorite nanny moment occurs over and over again when the 2 year old that I currently nanny advances his puzzle or building skills and accomplishes something for the first time with the scaffolding I've provided. He always hops up with a big smile on his face and claps while saying yay! I did it! As a former teacher I love to see that light of accomplishment and pride.
