Hi everyone my name is Kristina I usually go by Krissy I'm 39 I'm a mommy I have my own vehicle I'm hca registered as well first aid and CPR certified my schedule is wide open I also clean houses to supplement my income when asked what I do i always respond w all things domestic I'm here to help I'm big on activities and having fun I have a great formula which involves physical activity while learning I talk alot but I feel it's important include the children and let them know what I'm doing and why I believe in staying positive no matter whats going on i believe strongly in family and I'm a busy body I clean o do laundry I consider it my therapy. I also have learned that keeping a journal of activities is such a great way to keep us all on the same page it's beneficial for multiple positive reasons that way parents can read it and see what we've been doing and it's a way to keep track of eating habits notes questions etc I'm task oriented and love lists. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've done volunteer work specifically w children that have special needs being an only child Ive always loved being around siblings I've taken a couple semesters at sac city and consumes in early childhood education I also take donation to a place called options which is a rehabilitation program focused on mommy and baby I drop off any kind donations families I've worked for. I also make sure to keep in touch w previous families I worked for even if it's been year I will always keep an open line of communication and I'm proud that I'm able to that

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going for walks if approved and I love describing what we see and then taking the time to sit and listen to the kids tell me what they see and smell my favorite is laying on a blanket and watching the clouds and hearing the kids tell me what shapes they see buty number one favorite thing to is ask each child to draw a picture of what they dreamed about. I've never my met a kid that didn't love being in charge of follow the leader

The most important part about being a nanny...

I hope to be able to create more time for the family to be able to be a family I think the most important part of being a nanny is building relationships w family and children I hope to hear lots of laughs and do lots of crafts and contribute to help them getting the tools they will need so they are able to cope w life and not fall into peer pressure so building self confidence has been what has worked best in my experience

My experience with special needs children...

I volunteered helping w severely disabled children and I quickly learned what I can and cannot do I'm emotional and I don't pity bcuz I don't want pity but sometimes it's hard because it's not fair and I wish I could do more

The most important part about being a nanny...

Favorite nanny moment would be when I was being introduced to a severely autistic child that I was going to be caring for and I was blown away at this child's view on life at 8 years old he knew more than me and I'm 40 my most favorite of all time nanny moments is hearing a child's laughter I get teary eyed just thinking about it will stop time it makes my heart skip a beat it's my fountain of youth and no matter how down and out I am a child's laughter is a gift like music I love music I love that I can stay positive I love that kids have no filter they make things better. Asking how their day was has been proven to have long term positive affects and helps build stronger bonds mostly of done at the dinner table I'm from the old school I'm still in awe that my 5 year old knows more than me on how to use a phone Im big on being outside sunlight is good for all of us and I hope to build individual relationships w each child
