I was babysitting for 4 children in West Virginia during the State-wide teacher strikes, and the kids had to have been out of school for at least 2 weeks at that point.
I suggested we watch the movie musical "Newsies" on Disney+ about the NYC Newsboys strike of 1899 so they could understand what the teachers were striking for here. That led to us learning some dances from the movie and getting more interested in reading and watching more learning related shows. And then we finalllly got off the tv and tried new ways to have fun!
