A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Kristyn, I've been caring for children for over 20 years. I’m a mother of six children, ages 12 to 21, and raising a large family has given me extensive hands-on experience supporting children. I have worked in several roles supporting children and families. I was a certified foster parent. That experience strengthened my ability to create a safe, consistent environment where children can feel secure, and supported as they grow.
Another meaningful part of my work with children comes through Solia Farm, where for the last decade I work with kids in equine-assisted learning environments. Through interactions with horses and hands-on activities, I’ve helped children build confidence, emotional regulation, responsibility, and a stronger connection with nature.
I truly enjoy helping children explore, learn, and grow while creating an atmosphere where they feel safe, valued, and free to be themselves.
