Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been taking care of kids since I was 15. First I started with babysitting around the neighborhood, then I was an instructor on children’s camps during the summer. Once I turned 19, I moved to the US to become an Au Pair (live-in nanny)! In my first family in New York I took care of a 7 year old boy and a 10 year old girl. In my second family I had a 4 year old girl, and 7 and 10 year old boys. I’m my last, third family, I took care of a baby girl that was only 10 months old when I first moved in, as well as a 4 and 6 year old girls. During this time I would also frequently babysit a 1 month old baby (at the same time with the 3 other girls).
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I like to think about activities that kids enjoy, mostly outdoors! Going to the playground, water balloon fights, playing hide and seek on the backyard, building a bird house, painting on rocks, picknicks, etc. But there is also a lot of things to do indoors as well! Arts and crafts, playing with clay, tea party, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment has to be teaching a baby to say “I love you” and hearing her say it to me every day!
