I think the most important part of being a nanny is connecting with the children and making them feel secure. No child wants to be left alone with a stranger, espcially someone they don't know nor are they sure that they can trust. I build my entire career of working with children and adults based on trust and understanding.

I've worked as a Direct Support Professional with adults for 3 different companies, however I do have a child of my own with a developmental disability so I have some experience and am always willing to learn how to care for other children with developmental special needs :)
The most important part about being a nanny...
Watching my children begin to do things on their own like walking, talking, eating with utensils... And even my older children doing pictures of puzzles on their own and being proud enough to want to show me on their own. The look of pride on a child's face will always be so fulfilling to me.
