More About Me

I work as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at an ABA clinic, where I provide therapy to children on the autism spectrum. My job involves helping children develop communication, social, and daily living skills while working on individualized goals. I also help train new staff, assist with challenging behaviors, and create a positive, supportive learning environment for the children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing fun, hands-on activities with children, such as sensory play, arts and crafts, and creating themed activity trays (tuff trays) that encourage creativity, learning, and exploration. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, riding bikes, playing games, dancing, singing, and finding fun ways to keep kids entertained. I love coming up with creative activities that allow children to learn, play, and express themselves while having fun!

The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. I believe it's important to be patient, understanding, and attentive to each child's individual needs while also making sure they have fun, learn new things, and feel loved.

My experience with special needs children...

I have three years of experience working with children on the autism spectrum, including both verbal and nonverbal children with a variety of support needs. I have experience supporting children with challenging behaviors, including aggression, tantrums, elopement, and difficulty communicating. I have also worked with children who do not display challenging behaviors and simply need additional support with communication, social skills, and daily activities. My experience has taught me how to be patient, understanding, and flexible while adapting to each child's individual needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite memories from ABA is seeing the progress children make, especially when they accomplish something they have been working hard on. Whether it's learning to communicate, gaining independence, or simply trying something new, it's rewarding to know I played a part in their growth. I also love the fun moments, like laughing, playing, and doing creative activities together.
