A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Kylie Trent, and I’m a 15 and a half year old freshman at Cuyahoga Falls High School. I’ve always enjoyed being around younger children and helping them learn and grow while continuing to grow myself. I’m especially interested in working with kids of all abilities, including those with disabilities, and I’m eager to build more experience in this area. I strive to be a positive, caring role model that children and families can trust. I’m also currently working on enrolling in a CPR class to further prepare myself for this responsibility along with First Aid. I come from a family of six children, including an older sister (18), my twin brother (15), a younger brother (10), a younger sister (9), and a stepbrother (9). Being part of a big family, I’ve been around kids my whole life and have helped care for my younger siblings from a young age, which has given me hands-on experience and a natural comfort with children of different ages.

I enjoy a variety of activities with children, from going to the park and taking walks to cooking, crafts, or just playing together. I’m happy to follow each child’s interests and create a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment where they feel comfortable and supported.

My experience with special needs children...

My school has a program for students with disabilities, and I’ve become really good friends with many of them. I love saying hi in the halls and helping out when I can. It’s something I genuinely enjoy, and it’s helped me become more patient, understanding, and supportive of kids of all abilities.
