A little bit about me

Aloha! I have experience caring for all ages and personalities. I have worked as a live-out and live-in nanny, as well as an adult caregiver. I have experience as a Certified Nurse Aid, Massage Therapist and Yoga Teacher and enjoy helping people live happier, healthier lives. I live in Waikoloa Village and have two wonderful, energetic teenagers and the sweetest little fur baby. I am a soulfully rooted transplant having lived in Hawaii for 17+ years, 15 of which in Waikoloa Village. Before moving back here, I was an expat of Asia, where I lived in Thailand, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates. I love discovering and exploring this amazing planet and connecting with people! Through all my travels, I found that there is no place like Hawai'i. Hawai'i has my heart.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Babysitting was one of my first jobs. I have experience as both a live-out and live-in nanny for a wide range of ages from newborns to middle schoolers, I have worked as a teachers aid for grades K-8th, an overseas English Teacher for ESL students, taught in schools in Indonesia and Abu Dhabi, taught yoga in schools in Thailand, Nurse Aid, and of course being a mom.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Being outside in nature, walks, reading, art, imaginative play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Providing a safe, loving, kind and fun relationship.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked as a teachers aid at Waikoloa school with special needs children. I have known children with various special needs and have a soft spot in my heart for them and their caregivers.

The most important part about being a nanny...

So many! One amazing experience that stands out was being able to assist with a home birth as a live-in nanny. All the precious hilarious insightful things children say. One little 3 year old boy I was particularly fond of hadn't seen me for a while and the first words out of his mouth were "I was missing you!" My heart melted.

* Experience babysitting various age groups, including raising my son as a single parent. He is currently 1 1/2 years old.
* I do not currently have a vehicle, so I cannot run errands or go on outings at this time. However, I have transportation to and from households through Uber and the local hele on bus.
*My son joins along on jobs with me as I’m his sole caretaker and daycare spots have been a challenge to find. Although he’s very laid back and enjoys the presence of others.
*I’m not a certified child education specialist, but I am open to tutoring and helping with homework that’s below highschool level. I’m currently in college via a local online school, and I have really good grades so I’m sure I could be of good help!
Let me know if you’re interested!,
