Hello! My name is La’Taye, but I go by Taye! I’m a freshman at UT Tyler majoring in Nursing. I’m originally from Waco, Texas, and come from a HUGE family with lots of children! I’ve also volunteered at daycares during the summers and helped with after-school childcare services before moving to Tyler.

I truly understand that it takes a village to raise children, and I would love to be a part of that village for your family! My goal is to support parents by helping make life a little easier and more balanced while creating a loving, safe, and encouraging environment where children can learn, grow, and be themselves. The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe one of the most important parts of being a nanny is making a positive impact on both the children and their parents. Sometimes that may look like checking in, offering words of encouragement when someone needs them most, bringing a smile to someone's face, or simply showing up and being there in whatever way that family needs that day. I believe in meeting each person where they are, understanding that every day may look different, and doing the best I can to make life a little easier, brighter, and more supported. At the end of the day, I want families to feel cared for, supported, and reminded that they don't have to do everything alone

The most important part about being a nanny...

One memory that always makes me smile is when I returned to the daycare after being away and honestly thought the children wouldn’t remember me. I had worked with different age groups, from one-year-olds to toddlers and preschoolers, and each group remembered me in their own special way! The little ones crawled right over to me, the daycare children remembered the specific snacks I would always give them, and the preschoolers ran up to me excitedly saying, “Miss Taye!” 🥹 It was such a heartwarming moment because I realized that even the little things I did had made an impact on them. It reminded me how special it is to build connections with children and how much those little moments truly matter.
