Hi there! My name is Lacee Pearson, and I am a junior at Appalachian State University. I am double-majoring in Psychology and Gender, Women, and sexuality studies. I am hoping to go to graduate school for my Phd in 2028 in either child psychology and/or gender psychology. I have an extensive background in Nannying. I specifically worked for a family with two children, one eight-year-old young girl with autism, and an eleven-year-old boy, when I started. My position as one of the nannies in the home was primarily providing one-on-one care for the 8-year-old girl with autism who had high support needs. I was able to help by supporting daily routines, providing communication strategies, and addressing sensory
needs. I adapted caregiving techniques to meet behavioral, emotional, and
developmental challenges in a palatable way. I even collaborated with parents frequently to maintain consistency in care and promote developmental goals.
