That you know what the kids feel. It's not because they are younger they don't have the right to share what they feel. We need to know how to listen to their story and analyze it. We put ourselves into their situation so that we can understand them. Patience and understanding is the key to get their trust and catch their feelings. Because if you do that they feel that you love and care for them.
My experience with special needs children...
For the special child. It depends to what they needs. I just follow what is allowed and not allowed for them. I can feed them. Change their clothes and assess them for drinking their medicine or vitamins.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment is when we play hide and seek. Then we're singing together a nursery songs. And when we read together his favorite books eventhough he already memorize all the events in the book.
