More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I completed an internship at Meagher Preschool, a Montessori school that focuses on hands-on, child-led learning. The program also included outdoor education and bilingual learning, which taught me the importance of encouraging independence, creativity, and exploration while supporting each child’s unique pace of development. That experience helped me understand how to create a positive, engaging environment where children feel confident to learn and grow. I also did one at Aunt Jenn’s as well. I have an early childhood development certification for New York State as well.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some of my favorite activities to do with children include arts and crafts, reading books together, outdoor adventures, sensory play, music and dancing, building with blocks, imaginative play, nature walks, baking simple treats, and age-appropriate learning activities that encourage creativity and independence. I also love celebrating milestones and finding fun ways to make everyday moments a learning experience.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating a place where a child feels safe, loved, and excited to be themselves. To me being a nanny isn’t just about watching a child, it’s about making everyday moments into little adventures. Whether we’re having a dance party in the kitchen, making crafts that might end up taking over the fridge (because every kid’s artwork deserves its moment lol), exploring outside, or celebrating the little victories, I want children to feel encouraged and confident. A great nanny brings patience, creativity, responsibility, and of course a little bit of silliness. I believe childhood is about learning, laughing, and making memories, and I would love the opportunity to be someone who helps make those moments special.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with special needs is more personal. Growing up with a brother who has autism, as well as being around many children with different needs, has taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and meeting each child where they are. It has helped me appreciate that every child communicates, learns, and experiences the world differently. This experience has shaped the way I care for children and has taught me to create an environment where every child feels supported, valued, and included.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I may not have a professional nanny title just yet, but I promise I come with plenty of imagination, energy, and a love for making childhood memories. I’m the type of person who will happily get down on the floor for a tea party, turn a walk outside into a mini adventure, and celebrate the little victories (because learning to stack blocks or say a new word deserves a little applause!). I love finding fun ways to help children learn, explore, and feel confident while making sure they always feel safe and cared for. I’m excited for the opportunity to become a trusted part of a family’s journey and create lots of smiles along the way. I am the one you need nannying isn’t always just about the educational part as well! Core memories matter!!!
