More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve worked as a full-time nanny, child care provider, and baby sitter. I also lead the high school girls at my church’s youth group.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing any kind of art activity with children! Paint, music, instruments, writing, etc. I love being able to teach what I know about a specific art, as well as learn from the crazy amount on creativity and freedom children have!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of nannying for me is learning/teaching. I love teaching & guiding children in a way that allows them to come to conclusions/ problem solve on their own, as well as implementing new lessons into everyday life!
For example, I just got back from a trip with my family- we spent new years in Tennessee-and I got to spend so much time with my 3 (almost 4) yo nephew. On this trip his dad and big brother rode some big rides at different amusement parks, so I would look to him and say “wow! Look at daddy and big brother- they’re so brave!, can you say brave?” He would go around saying you’re so brave! And we would talk about what that meant and how to be brave in instances like- he wanted to hold a lady bug but “was too scared” we remembered the word we learned the day before and he remembered that he can be brave, just like his daddy and big brother!

My experience with special needs children...
My nephew, almost 4, has Autism and I care for him from time to time! He has the sweetest, most brilliant mind ever. His main challenge has been his speech, but with much work and support from his family he’s started forming short phrases these past few months!
I also have experience with special needs children from the child care center I worked at! I learned so many did tips and tricks for working with children on the spectrum while working there, but I mostly learned how important and beneficial patience is!

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the funniest/ sweetest things I will always remember from a daycare I worked at: I was placed to work with the 4-6 yr. olds for about a month while a teacher was out & everyday I would come in I would say “Good morning besties!” And of course, they called me Miss Lara… well one day I came in and one of my girls (6yo) says “Good morning Miss Bestie!”
That was my new name the rest of the time I worked there, and I LOVED it!

Hi! I’m Kit. I currently work at a daycare and have experience caring for kids of different ages. I really love working with children and helping them feel safe, comfortable, and have fun. I’m patient, reliable, and pretty easygoing, and I’m used to things like diaper changes, meals, playtime, naps, and keeping kids entertained throughout the day. I’m also CPR and First Aid certified, comfortable around pets, and happy to help however I can. I’d love to find a family that’s a good fit!
