Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I essentially learned how to care for babies and younger children throughout my younger teen years. It's nothing you should worry about, as I've experienced just as much as an actual babysitter (if not more lol). Think of it as being self taught ;)
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to draw/paint all sorts of things! I can also play ukulele (which I've found a lot of kids love), and guitar. We can watch their favorite shows and play older games like hide and seek, too.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love giving kids the opportunity to be themselves, with no judgement or aggression. I'm aware that anger usually makes for difficult interactions, which I try my best to avoid. I want them to be comfortable with me.
My experience with special needs children...
I only have experience with autism and ADHD/ADD. I don't know if the latter counts much.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I remember this time I had to watch my year-and-a-half old brother for a solid three hours. I distracted him with a bunch of different toys and let him swing in his swing he had. He had the most beautiful smile a baby could ever have. And he also has the most terrible poops lol.
