I am Lark M Spears. I’m a licensed massage therapist with a background in family planning and healthcare management. I am owner of Enchanted Rhapsody day spa, a mobile therapeutic spa offering products and services. In 2006, I graduated from Dillard University (New Orleans) in Public Health/ Health Science with a minor in Psychology. Following up in 2008, I achieved certification from Delgado Community College in Massage Therapy. I love and practice holistic medicine.
I am fun, energetic, love to travel and be in nature. I am family oriented and enjoy hanging out with family and friends. In my spare time, I like bowling, dancing, skating, swimming, and walking. I am rather handy, and enjoy carpentry work and fixing nicknacks around the house and in my vehicle.
I am a child of God. I enjoy helping out others and giving back to the community. I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta; and am an advocate for education and service. Learning is all around us, come join me on my nature trails.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a substitute with the East Baton Rouge School system, working with young children and those with special needs. I especially love this population, as they are fighters in being informed and have desires to be able to. I have also worked with various daycares in the area. I thrive most and am an excellent teacher in the infant and toddler years. Nature trails offer education in an adventure filled and fun setting.
In Orleans parish, I worked as a case manager in the pediatric arena. There I worked with parents and their children to find the best therapy programs fitting for their comfort, growth, and needs. I am an advocate behind helping children find the right environment, love and support that enables them to be their very best. I have also worked with children in the dentistry setting while working at The Smile Shop, a family company.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Bowling, skating, going to the playground, arts and crafts, dancing, swimming, watching tv, and learning new things; along with an array of sports.

The most important part about being a nanny is the relationship with the children as well as the parents. I think it is important to relate or be relatable to the children, as part of your job helps them grow.

I have worked with children with learning difficulties, aggressive behavior, and physical challenges.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moments are taking the kids on what I like to call “nature trails”. There we learn about colors, vehicles, plants, objects, animals, numbers and counting, science, history, and so much more. I love to watch their growth and how much they are learning while having fun. Being able to see them apply that information in life and their education, is always a rewarding treat.
