More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Although my professional background is in healthcare, working with residents with dementia and autism, I have extensive experience providing structured, patient, and supportive care. I have also cared for friends’ children, including a child with autism, and understand the importance of routine, safety, and individualized attention.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy arts and crafts, reading, music, outdoor play, puzzles, sensory activities, and structured games. I like creating a balance between fun and learning while keeping routines consistent and supportive.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where a child feels secure, understood, and supported. Children thrive when they feel consistency, patience, and genuine care.
For me, it’s about building trust — not just with the child, but with the parents as well. I believe communication, reliability, and respect are just as important as play and activities. A nanny is not just there to supervise, but to guide, encourage independence, and help a child grow with confidence.
Especially when caring for a child with special needs, understanding their unique personality, sensory preferences, and communication style is essential.

My experience with special needs children...
My professional background includes working with individuals with autism and dementia in a healthcare setting, where I provide structured support, behavioral redirection, and individualized engagement. I am experienced in recognizing sensory sensitivities, supporting communication differences, and maintaining calm, safe environments.
Although my professional role has been with adults, many of the core skills — patience, consistency, behavior management, and emotional regulation support — directly apply to working with children with special needs.
On a personal level, I have frequently cared for my friends’ children, including a child with autism. Through these experiences, I have learned the importance of routine, positive reinforcement, clear communication, and building trust at the child’s pace.
I am calm, attentive, and understanding, and I prioritize safety, structure, and compassion in every interaction.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments caring for a child was when a child with autism I was watching had difficulty transitioning between activities. Instead of rushing or forcing the change, I calmly sat with him, spoke softly, and gave him time to adjust. After a few minutes, he reached for my hand and followed me to the next activity.
That small moment meant a lot to me because it showed trust. It reminded me that patience, consistency, and understanding truly make a difference. Seeing a child feel safe and comfortable in my presence is the most rewarding part of caregiving.
