A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Laura Beth, and I’m from Greensboro, GA. I’m a freshman at Auburn University and am looking for a part-time or occasional nannying position. I have several years of experience caring for children of all ages. For the past two years, I have worked as a nanny and caregiver for three boys, ages 16, 10, and 7. The oldest has profound special needs and requires a high level of one-on-one care, so I have extensive experience providing patient, attentive, and compassionate support while managing the needs of multiple children at once. I’m dependable, responsible, and love creating a fun, safe environment for kids. I’d be happy to provide references upon request!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have volunteered for many years with Greene County Special Olympics, as well as with a special needs tennis camp hosted by my high school. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with individuals with different abilities and have strengthened my patience, adaptability, and passion for caring for others.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I’m a very active person and love spending time outdoors, so I enjoy doing all kinds of physical activities and adventures with children. Whether it’s playing outside, going on walks, or finding creative ways to keep them engaged, I love making sure they have fun while staying active!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel valued and cared for. I believe it’s important to build trust with each child, understand their individual needs and personalities, and make every moment together an opportunity for them to learn, grow, and have fun.

My experience with special needs children...

I have volunteered for many years with Special Olympics, and for the past two years I have held a caregiving position for a 16-year-old boy with profound special needs. I am one of his primary caregivers and assist with his full-time care, including medical and personal care needs such as G-tube feedings and administering medications according to prescribed schedules. This role has required a high level of responsibility, attention to detail, patience, and adaptability while ensuring his health, comfort, and overall well-being.

Through this experience, I have developed strong caregiving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion, professionalism, and confidence. It has been incredibly meaningful and has strengthened my passion for working with children and individuals with different needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was celebrating the special needs boy’s 16th birthday with him and his two younger brothers, who I also cared for. It was such a special day because I got to see the joy and excitement of all three boys celebrating together. Being able to be part of those meaningful milestones and create memories with them is one of the most rewarding parts of nannying.
