Hello! My name is Laurel I am a UC Davis graduate with a passion for working with children and families. I studied education and psychology, and have experience working with children in a variety of settings including summer camps, elementary and middle school classrooms, and as a swim coach. I also have experience as a substitute teacher and working with students with special needs, primarily Autism, and learning disorders. I enjoy being outside, swimming, biking, and walking. I love animals and grew up with cats, dogs, birds, lizards, chickens, and hamsters. In my free time, I enjoy reading, painting, creating collages, and traveling. I am highly organized, as well as a strong written and verbal communicator. I am confident in the kitchen and do not mind assisting with meals/ meal prep (bonus, I love washing dishes!).
