A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Lauren Brown and I am looking to transition from classroom teaching to nannying. I’ve worked with kids for about 6 years now. I taught after school dance classes to children ages 3-15 for two years. I was a substitute teacher during my off-time in college, and I also spent some time working at a daycare center for a semester during college.

I am 24 years old and am from Columbiana, AL. I graduated from Shelby County High School in 2015 and began my college career at the University of Montevallo the following fall. I pursued Elementary Education. I transferred to Jacksonville State University in the fall of 2017 and obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education in December of 2019! I worked as a reading interventionist directly after graduating before taking a long-term substitute position for a 1st grade class. I then accepted my first teaching job as a 2nd grade teacher.
