My mother owned a daycare when I was growing up and I took on many of those responsibilities. I guess you could say I’ve been taking care of children my entire life as I have 3 siblings, I being the oldest.

I am a huge art and crafts kind of gal. I grew up around my grandmother and loved trying out a wide variety of activities such as sewing, painting, tie-dye, perler beads, making bracelets, learning how to cook authentic dishes from Norway, and my favorite baking.

My experience with special needs children...
Not exactly sure if it counts but I volunteered for the prairie summer program with the special needs students two years. And during highschool I also was involved in the helping of PE and assisting with activities at Thomas Jefferson highschool. My baby sister is diagnosed with high-functioning autism. I’ve learned how to work with her, and give her the support she needs. She refers to me as her bestfriend, and anytime there is an issue I am the one to be called to help.
