More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve supported families from all walks of life, including those navigating Medicaid, Medicare, CAP-C, CAP-DA, and private duty care, as well as working professionals in healthcare, education, law enforcement, therapy, real estate, media, and remote-based fields. I’ve helped families access disability services and navigate the transition from pediatric to adult care, advocating for continuity and support. I’ve also cared for declining spouses and aging parents, offering hands-on care and guidance through palliative care, hospice, and beyond with presence, empathy, and discretion. My role often includes developmental tracking, gentle routines, meal prep, and creating calm, nurturing environments during all seasons of life. Specializing in home-based care, I’ve learned that caring for those just beginning life, those nearing the end, or any age in between requires the same steady presence, patience, and love. While their needs may differ, the heart of caregiving remains the same.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I most enjoy baby sign language, wholesome meal prep, weekly art projects, outdoors activities, music, and books. I also provide help with skills including: social/emotional, gross motor, fine motor, cognitive, speech and self care. I am able to focus on environment specific skills for at home, at the table, outside, car, and social gatherings.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is building a secure, loving relationship where a child feels safe to grow, explore, and thrive. I prioritize safety in every aspect of care, including physical supervision, safe sleep practices, emotional security, and consistency in routines. I believe in showing up with presence, patience, and awareness, creating a calm home rhythm that nurtures the whole child in mind, body, and heart. I also strive to align with each family's values and rhythms, offering care that reflects both the child's needs and the parents' approach.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments was watching a baby I cared for sign “more please” during mealtime after weeks of practicing baby sign language. Seeing those first signs of communication and knowing I helped nurture that moment melted my heart.
Another was watching the same child water the plants in their family garden and name each one. It was a beautiful reminder of how daily routines, care, and connection can spark confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning.

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Wilmington, NC: Anna V.
I’m 27 years old. I’ve lived in Wilmington for two years. I have several years of babysitting experience, worked as a teaching assistant at a preschool for almost a year, and have had CPR/first aid training. I will be renewing my certifications and will update my profile once I have those renewed. I enjoy working with children of all ages, watching them grow into their personalities, and helping them learn new things. I love to be silly with the kids, come up with fun activities, and enjoy outdoor activities. I love animals, so pets won’t be an issue. I am comfortable cooking meals, will do light housework, and care for pets as needed. I have very strong communication skills, great work ethic, and clean background. Hi families! My name is Kayla. I’m a full time nanny and have been since 2020. Prior to nannying, I’ve worked for an after school program, at a daycare facility, and have done plenty of babysitting. I’m CPR and First Aid certified and have completed coursework in Early Childhood Education. My experience ranges from infants to upper elementary aged children. Light housekeeping, making meals for children, and school pick up/drop off are all things I’m comfortable with and have plenty of experience with.
I have a passion for helping children reach developmental milestones as well as planning fun, age appropriate activities for them to do! I enjoy doing hands on activities to limit screen time throughout the day. I also enjoy going on outings to places such as the library, playground, and children’s museum! I’m a firm believer in gentle discipline as well as positive reinforcement. Your children will be my top priority. I look forward to working with you and your family!
