I spent three years as a nanny for a wonderful family in San Clemente, where I also took on the role of personal assistant to the parents. Prior to that, I cared for a newborn and a two-year-old for another family before they relocated to Nashville — and I’m proud to still stay in touch with both families today.

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is truly being an extra set of hands for the parents—someone they can fully trust and rely on. It’s about stepping in with care, consistency, and support so their day runs more smoothly. I also believe in treating the children as if they were my own—with love, patience, and the kind of attention that helps them feel safe, valued, and understood.

One of my favorite moments while nannying was watching the toddler I cared for take her very first steps. We had been practicing together every day, and when she finally let go of the couch and walked toward me with the biggest smile.
