A little bit about me

I am a mom of 2 grown children out on their own. I have nannied for a family for almost 10 years now on and off in between my job as a Self Direction Assistant for a client with special needs. I have worked with the client for 3 years and now their services have ended. I have an Associates Degree in Early Children Education and taught Preschool for years when my children were younger. I am also First Aid and CPR/AED certified. I would love to be able to continue my nannying career in hopes to further what I love to do, watching and helping children grow. More About Me

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love working on arts & crafts with children and seeing the excitement on their faces at the finished product, whether it be inside or outdoors. Reading is another favorite of mine as well as gardening with them. Cooking and baking are also great activities that I find children love to do!! Going for walks and hikes are always a treasure in all four seasons!!

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with a family of an autistic child for 3 years. I worked with them for 40 hours a week, I would take him to art classes, personal training, and special outings events such as fairs and so forth. I would take him out shopping, work on crafts and special projects; we gardened and also worked together on his independence and growth. I have also filled in at a special needs residency home when they were short staffed. I have experience with the hoyer lift and wheelchairs as well.
