A little bit about me

Hello! I am 23 years old currently in an Applied Behavioral Analysis program online, having just received my bachelors degree in psychology. I have experience as a behavior technician working with children who have ADHD and autism in school, home, and clinic settings. I am currently a nanny for 6 children between the ages of 4 months and 12 years, and I enjoy it so much; it feels like I am just playing all day, not working ;)

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have had three nanny jobs before. In one instance I cared for 3 children, ranging from the ages 3-9, another instance 1 child who was 10, and the last is a current job caring for six kids range from newborn to 12 years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being creative! I have done everything from outside obstacle courses to talent shows, to crafts, baking competitions, and water balloon fights. I think activities that are active as well as entertaining are the perfect activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is making sure that the kids feel as if they are loved, appreciated and accepted. They should be reassured and encouraged often.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for a child who was hard of hearing and have had experience dealing with a boy with mild autism.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite memory was having having a talent show. We did everything from lip syncing to flexibility, and we made french toast afterwards with a competition to see who could make the best breakfast plate. Overall, everyone had lots of laughs and it makes for a good memory.
