I have a goddaughter and two little nephews who I’ve watched off & on since they were born. I worked in a daycare for a year & a half as an assistant to get some experience as I was in school to be a preschool/kindergarten teacher.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
painting, reading, playing hopscotch, teaching jump rope, watching their favorite shows with them, dance parties, coloring books together, going to parks, baking cookies & other sweets.

The most important part about being a nanny is caring for your family. Treating the kids as if they were your own & respecting the home that you were welcomed into.
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve cared for children with autism for years as my two younger siblings are both very high functioning & even had the opportunity to experience low functioning spectrum kids while at the daycare. It can be tuff but all they need is a little extra time & attention
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I first introduced finger painting to my goddaughter she didn’t understand that the paint belonged on the canvas & her little hands just decided to paint the kitchen walls lol! Hundreds of little finger & hand prints were along the bottoms of the wall because that’s all she could reach. I spent 2 hours scrubbing those walls while she sat & watched Bluey 😆
