The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure the family is comfortable. I do not want to overstep any boundaries (though I am a mandated reporter) and I want parents to know that their children are in good hands. Additionally, I find it important that the child gets the proper enrichment, care, and love to thrive as they grow up.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with two children with severe ADHD and done extensive research on autism. My sister has RAD (reactive attachment disorder), so I can work well with bipolar kids.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I loved when I came back to camp the following year and the kids who came back remembered me! It showed me that I had a lasting positive impact on their lives.
