A little bit about me

Hello everybody! My name is Leah and my 20 month old daughter’s name is Zeniylah and we are looking for the perfect family to join. My history in childcare is quite extensive and it began early at 13 years of age when I landed my first nanny job for a on call nurse with 3 children ages 1-9. From there I continued doing babysitting jobs through high school and college and eventually became a lead teacher at a local daycare. I then went on to start my own home childcare service that unfortunately ended due to the pandemic.
I am CPR, First Aid, SIDS, safe sleep, and serve safe certified. I’d love to chat and see if I’d be a good fit for your family!

I was a tutor, a camp counselor for many camps, I volunteered at an outreach program, and also did a lot of family babysitting.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Everything! I love the outdoors, coloring, creative writing, reading, make believe, really anything. I never let the child in me die so I’m always ready to play as long as my grown up body can keep up.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is being a safe place. Just being on their level. Children are just as human as us, they just don’t have experiences that generate understanding and wisdom. It’s important to just be in their level to me.

Being reminded of the things we take for granted. Introducing new foods that we’ve grown used to or simple motor functions that we do all day is such a milestone for little ones, it gives you perspective and makes you appreciate the little things.
