Reading out loud, singing, dancing, exercise indoors (simple yoga, aerobics), exercise outdoors (throw catch kick ball, jog, walk, star jump, jumping jack, hoola hoop, power walk, etc), showing the wonders of nature around us (bird building a nest for her young, faintly visible rainbow , leaves and flowers heralding the arrival of spring, hummingbirds flitting about) finding audio stories to share, drawing, writing, coloring, puzzles, word play, demonstrating how to put on socks shoes / zip up jacket / eat with chopsticks fork and knife / gargle wash hair shower bath

Being present to comfort and hold baby when baby wakes up from nap, thinks no one is around and so cries.

I hide ..... then slowly appear, baby is surprised and laughs. I do this a few times. The more often I hide and appear, the more thrilled baby is, chortling and sometimes screaming with delight.
