A little bit about me

My name is Leigha Roggeveen and I am currently a junior at the University of Iowa! I am studying elementary ed and educational psychology in hopes of one day becoming an educational psychologist. I have worked in 3 different childcare centers during my college years along with occasional babysitting on the weekends. I have experience with children aged infant-school aged, there is something special about each age! Because of my experience in a daycare setting, I am comfortable watching multiple children at once! I have been babysitting since I was 13 and have had experience with summer nannying! Some of my favorite things to do are singing, playing guitar, yoga, and any type of outdoor activity/adventure! I am CPR and First aid certified, along with any other training required by DHS and the state of Iowa to be a daycare teacher!

I was a preschool teacher at Lionheart Early Learning center after a year of floating and working in all different aged classrooms. I was a teacher in the toddler room and 4-year-old room at kiddie connection. I was a 2-year-old teacher at ACPC. I have a 9-year-old sister, so I have been the built-in babysitter for her for years!
