My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with many children as a behavioral therapist from getting ready for preschool to getting ready to graduate high school. I’m trained to deescalate any crisis situation and able to stay calm and understanding and supportive during any negative behaviors and emotions. Able to redirect and communicate needs with children and know a handful of ASL words and have worked with communication devices or with visual icons as needed.
