I have been a tutor for several years, working with elementary age children. I have also worked at several overnight, weeklong camps as a camp counselor.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I'm a big fan of crafting, I regularly paint (as clean as can be) with children that I watch, I enjoy creating and going on scavenger hunts, short hikes, I was a lifeguard in high school and so I am comfortable taking kids swimming.

This is simple, the kids. Making sure they feel like they are comfortable, cared for, and can have a good time. I like to cultivate a relationship built on respect and joy-filled moments.

I was the class assistant for the special needs classroom as well as having experience working with a special needs camper.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was privelaged enough to go on vacation with one of my families. It was a great experience to watch the kids on the beach and let the parents have fun. We built sandcastles, sandmen, and played in the waves. The kids were always tuckered out by the end of the day and were either extremely easy to put down or little crazies, but either way it was still a great time!
