A little bit about me

Currently I am working to make a few businesses of my own and am planning to attend school to major in business. I love to work with children because I would like to be someone they can feel comfortable with and I would like to help them grow. I personally want to be a wonderful mother one day, so the opportunity to care for other children will help me gain experience that I value. At these young ages, children deserve much patience and understanding and that is something I know I can provide for them having taken care of my younger siblings since they were infants. My brother is now 6 and was born premature and my sister is now 3. I am 20 years old and love being the bigger sister they can talk to or come to for comfort and company.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I used to babysit my younger siblings (aged 6 and 3) almost 24/7 and since they were infants. So I know how to treat and handle infants and toddlers very well.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to do activities that children can learn from and will help express their imagination. I think we can all understand that the imagination of a child is precious and important! And children, especially, learn better and love to learn more when fun is involved. I often read books with my little brother and when it involved cooking and keeping him out of trouble, I would involve him and claim we were on a silly cooking show.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part about being a nanny is to leave a positive impact on a child’s life. To be someone that is gentle and patient when a child makes a mistake and to show them how to fix their mistakes. Someone who acknowledges a child’s emotions as valid no matter how trivial the situation would be. To make special moments that they’ll look back on and appreciate. I know that, when I was younger, my mother used to make lunches for me and leave little notes for me in my lunch box and I still don’t forget that.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment I experienced while babysitting my younger siblings was taking them to Starbucks, then stopping by a store to buy them a toy, and afterwards, we went to the park and had fun.
