i went to MVCTC my junior and senior year where i cared for and taught preschoolers . during my senior year to recently , i worked in a child care center where i’ve cared for children from ages 6 weeks to roughly 9 years old . i have a 4 year old of my own that i take care of as well as younger siblings and cousins in my family i’ve been helping with since i was little .
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
my favorite things to do with children are any art related activities as well as active activities such as dance parties , playing outside when possible and making different obstacles for kids to go through (these are all just examples) . i also love reading stories , playing games and helping with different milestones such as writing their name clearly or counting from 1-20 .

when it comes to caring for children in general , i believe that patience , communication and positive reinforcement are very important factors . every child learns and grows differently and that is something important i always think about when working with children .

the first time the twins i’ve cared for said my name and told me they loved me it melted my heart !! one of them had trouble with speaking and had a speech therapist at the time , so it was heart warming AND a huge milestone !
