More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked as a registered behavioral therapist for children with autism for under a year. I switched jobs due to a devastating family loss. It is my firm belief that any adult working with children need to be more than capable of knowing when to step away for the benefit of the child and the nanny/RBT. My RBT license is expired though it is something I’d love to pursue in the future. For now nannying will fill my heart.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to play tag, hop scotch, hide and seek. I enjoy building their skills as well through play such as motor skills with playdough. Counting objects or colors indoors or out. I love being outdoors, playing with chalk, bubbles, water balloons, soccer/football/baseball any sport really.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Patience and happiness matter most to me. You will never see me lose my composure. Children only get one childhood and I want to make it special and memorable. Some people have the ability to work with children and some don’t. It is the upmost responsibility of the nanny to ensure they are only benefitting the children and family. All I want to do is help.

My experience with special needs children...

My nephew has autism and that’s what sparked my interest to learn as much as possible about the subject. How to help them be able to communicate their needs/wants, while making learning fun and not overwhelming. I have faced many challenges and it fills my heart to overcome them with the child. I worked as a Registered behavioral therapist for children with autism for under a year. Only having to step away because of a family loss. Having a nephew with autism has allowed me to find a bottomless amount of patience and the urge to understand them in every way.
