I am currently a piano teacher and a stay-at-home momma to two little ones (ages 1 and 4 months). I teach piano out of my home. I have a love for children and a great understanding of child development. I enjoy cooking and crafting and spending time outdoors gardening. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am 22 years old. I began babysitting at 12. I worked regularly for a family of 5 boys ages 1-7. This included house cleaning, cooking, and putting the children down for bed. I watched neighbors kids and often watched multiple children at a time. I spent a few months working at Boise Rescue Mission in their children's tutoring department. This offered opportunity for me to help tutor children with developmental disabilities as well as children in trauma due to abusive home life. I myself have 2 young children and absolutely love being a mom! I currently work as a piano teacher with children ages 5-13.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love making art in any form. As a piano teacher, I help children develop a sense of wonder in listening to and playing pieces. Painting and coloring is another mode of artistic expression I enjoy doing with children. My children and I spend many hours outside each day playing in the dirt and water as well as gardening. I also enjoy trying new recipes and getting kiddos involved in the cooking process.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of nannying for myself is being able to support parents in caring for their children and getting the opportunity to be a positive influence in a child's life.

My experience with special needs children...

In my time at the Boise Rescue Mission I worked with children with PTSD as well as children diagnosed with autism and other developmental diagnoses. I also grew up closely with a friend diagnosed with downsyndrome.
