A little bit about me

Growing up i always knew I wanted to work with children. In high school, I was accepted to be part of a teaching academy program. Throughout my four years I was able to team teach at a variety of elementary schools to kids from kinder-5th grade. I startedbabysitting when I was about 16. It began when my little brother was born I grew up with a single dad so I was in charge of my little brother most of the time. I had a few neighbors who would ask me to babysit from time to time during the summer they were kids from about 5-10 years old. I also have experience assisting a home daycare with my aunt, she had a total of 6 children ages 2-10 one being a special needs child.My longest nannying job was part time for about 2 years with two kids, one was a 2 year old baby boy and the other was a 8 year old little girl. I am now looking for a full time I truly love spending time with children doing activities that inspire their creativity and passion!

My experience with special needs children...

I worked with a 5 year old who had down syndrome It differed some days like any days it was much easier to work with her other days she was just moody and a lot harder to work with she had learning difficulties so emotionally she was a lot less mature than her peers I will admit that it’s much harder to work with special needs children because of the extra attention they need I came to learn that she did much better with smaller children
